Position Overview
Meadows & Ohly is seeking a Senior Director, Healthcare Planning Consultant to lead strategic healthcare facility planning initiatives for hospitals, health systems, and ambulatory care organizations. This leadership role partners with executive teams to develop facility and real estate strategies that improve operational performance, optimize space utilization, and support long-term growth.

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare planning professional with expertise in medical facility planning, healthcare operations, ambulatory and acute care environments, and capital planning. Open to candidates in the Atlanta, Denver, Dallas and Chicago markets with the ability to travel. 

Key Responsibilities
Lead healthcare facility planning and real estate strategy engagements 
Partner with healthcare executives, service line leaders, and facility teams 
Conduct operational assessments, site analysis, and space planning studies 
Develop recommendations for future growth, optimization, and capital investments 
Facilitate planning workshops and stakeholder discussions 
Analyze projected service volumes and translate data into planning solutions 
Ensure projects meet client objectives, schedules, and contractual requirements 
Collaborate across internal teams to support client success and business growth 
Requirements
  
Qualifications
Extensive experience in healthcare planning, medical facility planning, or healthcare consulting, 20+ years preferred
Strong understanding of acute care, ambulatory care, and healthcare operations 
Proven ability to advise executive leadership and manage complex projects 
Experience with healthcare space planning, programming, and facility assessments 
Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills 
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in healthcare planning tools & software like ACAD and Sketchup
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Ability to travel to other client markets as needed
