We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Event Services Manager to join our team at Disney, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business growth. As a Senior Event Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing high-profile events and shows, providing top-notch guest services, and collaborating with various teams across Walt Disney World.

In this full-time role, you will work closely with high-value group and show clients to plan and execute their events across Walt Disney World hotels and parks, with a focus on long-term legacy clients and those with high-level Disney connections. You will oversee contracts, room blocks, food and beverage, general media, entertainment, theme park events, theme park tickets, transportation, and all logistics.

As a Senior Event Services Manager, you will:

  • Work with high-value group and show clients to plan and execute their events across Walt Disney World hotels and parks
  • Oversee contracts, room blocks, food and beverage, general media, entertainment, theme park events, theme park tickets, transportation, and all logistics
  • Mentor and provide training opportunities to Event Services Managers, Event Services Coordinators, and Associates
  • Utilize exceptional guest service skills to consistently seek out creative ways to amaze and entertain our guests, and drive repeat business
  • Build relationships and work with all colleagues in the organization
  • Support complex groups with an elevated degree of intricacy as Event Management Director is responsible for being knowledgeable of all products and services at Walt Disney World
  • Think creatively to approach problems across multiple teams in innovative ways to achieve desired results
  • Maintain a professional business image and demonstration of excellence through professional dress, written and oral presentations, including the ability to run effective meetings
  • Collaborate with a variety of clients, both internal and external, and articulate needs to present solutions for partners and clients
  • Demonstrate understanding of food and beverage, production, and event enhancements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong event planning experience, ideally in a resort environment; food and beverage, front office, or theme parks
  • Proven track record of working with high-level Disney leaders or with C-suite level clients
  • Proven ability to organize events for groups with rooms and meetings across multiple hotels with various teammates, for high-value, highly refined events
  • Key understanding of the business objectives related to various business sectors and what clients are trying to achieve
  • Ability to proactively anticipate any potential event difficulties and elevate concerns/solutions
  • Ability to design refined groups with minimal oversight from management
  • Creativity to find solutions in new ways and improve the guest and client experiences
  • Experience proactively mentoring direct reports
  • Ability to build relationships and work with all colleagues in the organization
  • Proficiency in essential computer skills necessary to work in a Windows environment and various technologies

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Proven understanding of food and beverage management, event services, or culinary operations experience
  • Event planning, event management, or catering operations experience
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World systems
  • Familiarity with all resort capability space and all theme park settings
  • Understanding of rooms and related lines of business
  • Experience directing planning meetings and leading schedules for every working area and client
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage
  • Proven understanding of the entertainment line of business
  • Knowledge of event contract management
  • Demonstrated leadership and time management skills
  • Current or ongoing event services or catering operations experience
  • Proficiency in DSCS and Siebel systems

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
