Caldera enables dynamic, scalable blockchain experiences. Currently, dapps that are deployed to general-purpose blockchain compete with thousands of other applications for space on the network.

This can lead to congestion and high fees or even network outages. That’s where we come in. We’re building software that makes it easy for the most innovative blockchain applications to launch their own ultra-performant blockchains (rollups), enabling applications to own their ecosystem, scale to millions of users, and provide a superior user experience to their users.

We already operate chains for a significant user base, and are eager to expand that operation with a sleek, performant team. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Caldera, you will:
Own significant components of Caldera's core infrastructure

Architect, develop, and deploy blockchain infrastructure to ensure the smooth operation of existing Caldera chains, and expand offerings for new customers.

Expand and hone our DevOps pipeline, allowing blockchains to be deployed and operated reliably and securely

Continuously improving the observability stack for the services we provide

Maintain and enhance the security posture of our infrastructure in AWS and Kubernetes, and upwards in the stack for the apps we run.

You might be a fit for this role if you...
Have 4+ years of engineering experience

Have experience writing backend services in Go or Typescript

Have experience with containerization, especially Kubernetes, Docker

Have strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Helm

Hands-on experience with cloud / infrastructure and service providers, including AWS, Vercel, and Cloudflare

Keen eye for security, basic understanding of threat modeling and secure system architecture

Are confident with performance optimization, identifying bottlenecks and scalability concerns

Have familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana or Datadog
