As a Senior Manager on this team, you'll lead our Notifications Data Science team, focusing on developing and implementing strategies that enhance consumer engagement and drive growth.

About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics - Notifications, Consumer Growth, you'll be responsible for leading a team of data scientists in driving deep analyses, uncovering key drivers of our business, and developing data-driven frameworks to inform product and operational initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional leaders, senior leadership, and partners across DoorDash to shape our Notifications roadmap and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, providing guidance and mentorship to drive their growth and success.
• Drive complex analyses and uncover key drivers of our business, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Influence the product roadmap by making data-driven recommendations that drive business growth and improve consumer experiences.
• Develop and implement data-driven frameworks to facilitate prioritization of high-impact product and operational initiatives.
• Drive measurement strategy for the Notifications team, defining success metrics and implementing best practices around experiment design and statistical analysis.
• Interface frequently with senior leadership to showcase your team's work, tackle complex business problems, and drive strategic decisions.

Essential Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing a team of data scientists in a formal or informal capacity, with a track record of delivering impactful analyses.
• 9+ years of experience in Data Science and Product Analytics, primarily in related industries such as tech, e-commerce, or consumer goods.
• Strong technical chops, with the ability to leverage technical expertise in a business context to drive strategic decisions.
• Deep understanding of, and hands-on experience with A/B experimentation, data pipelines, and statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional working skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a rapidly growing company, with a proven track record of adapting to changing business needs and priorities.
• Experience with machine learning, generative AI, or other advanced analytics techniques.
• Familiarity with the food delivery or logistics industry, with a deep understanding of the consumer growth landscape.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this position ranges from $186,300 to $274,000, depending on your location and experience. In addition to base salary, you'll be eligible for equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package.
