Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a modern, AI-augmented approach to software development. You thrive in high-velocity environments and actively leverage AI tools to multiply your impact, not just as a nice-to-have, but as a core part of how you work every day.
Takes full ownership of a product from an engineering perspective — from architecture to deployment

Designs, builds, and scales robust backend and frontend components for our clinical product suite

Leverages AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and others) as a force multiplier, consistently operating at a multiple of the output of traditional development workflows

Brings a product-focused mindset to engineering work, balancing technical execution with usability, business goals, and real-world constraints to deliver impactful user experiences

Collaborates cross-functionally with ML, product, and engineering teams to develop intelligent, reliable features

Ensures high-quality software via automated testing, code review, and sound engineering practices

Stays current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and proactively shares learnings with the team

Helps define and champion AI-first engineering best practices across the organization

What You’ll Do
Build and ship features across Pearl’s clinical product suite using AI-assisted development workflows

Use tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Gemini to accelerate code generation, debugging, documentation, and code review

Architect scalable systems that integrate with Pearl’s ML and computer vision pipelines

Drive improvements in engineering velocity and quality by identifying where AI tooling can reduce friction

Mentor teammates on effective AI-augmented development practices

What You’ll Need to Succeed
5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in backend and/or frontend development (Python, TypeScript, React, or similar)

Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, etc.) in production or professional workflows

Ability to evaluate and rapidly adopt new AI tools as the ecoSenior Software Engineer

Willingness to travel as needed to support business priorities

Bonus
Experience in start-up, high-growth SaaS software development

Familiarity with ML/AI systems, computer vision, or data pipelines

Prior experience establishing AI tooling standards or workflows at an engineering org
