The Senior Software Engineer leads and oversees the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications and systems according to business needs. As a technical leader, you will work with other software engineers, ensuring technical growth and product quality through best engineering practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead software engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality products on a foundation of architectural and engineering excellenceWork cross-functionally with other roles and business teams to define, deliver, and support software and servicesGuide software engineers through planning, designing, coding, delivery, and support, driving the day-to-day technical decisionsOwn and continually improve the throughput and stability of product delivery and application lifecycle, in partnership with product and program managementDistill complex and ambiguous situations into actionable plans for your teamCommunicate and collaborate with internally and with partners on technical detailsTrain and develop top engineering talentExposure to Cloud technology is preferred
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable engineering or science field6+ years of software development experienceBroad understanding of coding and programming languagesExperience with database design and data modelingKnowledge of and experience with relational and NoSQL databasesExtensive knowledge of the software development process and corresponding technologies Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural stylesProficient knowledge of the operation and development designs of agile softwareStrong soft skills, including attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills Experience working with teams across different time-zones and countriesPreferred 3+ years of proven work experience in Node.js development and ReactJS
