The Opportunity

Join a dynamic engineering team as a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack), where you'll lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and directly influence the architecture and success of mission-critical privacy and data security products. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer to advance into a Director of Engineering role within 18 months, while working on cutting-edge technology in a collaborative, startup-like environment.

What You'll Do

  • Write clean, secure, and high-quality code aligned with product requirements

    Build interactive web applications, RESTful APIs, and efficient algorithms

    Optimize application performance, security, and browser compatibility

    Lead feature implementation and redesign complex interfaces

    Influence technical decisions to ensure quality, scalability, reliability, and security

    Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and growth

    Act as a client-facing technical leader during implementation phases

    Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to deliver on tight deadlines

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field (required)

    Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering roles

    Strong experience with LAMP/LEMP stack and Linux command line proficiency

    Proven ability to build scalable, load-balanced web applications and APIs

    Client-facing experience and strong communication skills

    Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams

    Startup or fast-paced environment experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities

    Willingness and ability to work from the Falls Church, VA or Greenville, DE office 2-3 days per week

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Programming: PHP, JavaScript, Python, Java

  • Frontend: ReactJS, JQuery, Bootstrap

  • Backend & API: RESTful APIs, AJAX, microservices architecture
