Overview:

You work closely with customers, sales, and delivery teams to design and deliver complex data integration solutions. You provide hands-on technical leadership across pre-sales, architecture, implementation, and deployment activities. You work across mainframe, IBM i, distributed, and cloud environments to align solutions to business and technical needs. We rely on you to act as a trusted technical advisor and ensure successful customer outcomes.

What you will do:

Design end-to-end data integration solutions across mainframe, IBM i, distributed, and cloud environments

Lead technical solutioning during pre-sales engagements

Perform hands-on implementation, configuration, and deployment of solutions

Translate customer requirements into scalable technical architectures

Partner with sales, delivery, and product teams to ensure solution alignment

Educate customers and internal teams on data integration technologies

Identify technical risks and drive mitigation

Support customer deployments including after-hours and on-call needs

What we are looking for:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree required

Equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of formal education

Experience

10+ years of experience in the data integration space

Platform & Environment Experience

Mainframe environments — 2–5 years preferred

IBM i (AS/400) environments — 1–3 years preferred

Linux / UNIX environments — minimum 5 years required

Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) — 1–5 years preferred

Experience working across heterogeneous environments including mainframe, IBM i, distributed, and cloud

Technical Skills

Hands on experience with ETL technologies

Hands on experience with data replication technologies

Database administration (DBA) experience — 2–5 years preferred

Programming experience — 5+ years preferred in Java, C/C++, and/or Python

Willingness to travel up to 25% and work after hours as required

AI Skills/Knowledge:

Comfort using AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot to accelerate development, troubleshooting, and documentation

Ability to evaluate AI-generated output critically and apply AI responsibly in customer environments

Preferred Skills:

Strong understanding of enterprise and hybrid data architectures

Experience working with large enterprise customers

Exposure to high availability, disaster recovery, or mission critical environments

Ability to lead technical discussions with business and IT stakeholders

Mentoring or coaching experience

Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies

This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US
