Service Acct Engineer III
Overview
The premier position within submeter operations displaying advanced knowledge of all submetering systems, application to support our client’s utility expense recovery efforts while connecting the investment vs. a financial return. This position serves in a collaborative capacity with clients, working closely with them to develop an understanding of their submeter systems and instances where the submeter system does not exist, teaching the benefits within the offering to learn that a submeter is the best measure for actual consumption and the most effective way to drive towards 100% recovery on consumption.
This position drives and manages all submeter services through a combination of direct responsibilities, strategic interdepartmental partnerships and intradepartmental resources. The Service Account Engineer III will apply experience and knowledge to provide training, guidance, and support our clients. He/She will be the role model for the department by maintaining a high level of professionalism, answering questions posed by our clients, the submeter team and/or other departments and will utilize his/her skills and talent to forge strong, collaborative partnerships both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
Dedicated resource to the TOP 5% of submetered clients to be the expert in analyzing expense recovery trends, offering ROI based investment solutions to increase and/or sustain NOI
Dedicated resource for the Strategic Account Manager on the assigned account to deliver exceptional service to support all billing issues or resident complaints regarding sub-metered issues
Conducts extensive research and data collection to identify client’s source of risk, loss and costs
Compiles facts from on-site visits and various reports and databases to assess existing processes/practices, determine severity/frequency of problems, and identify solutions to present to the client to address service needs
Actively participates in weekly or monthly client meetings to understand needs, review opportunities to support expense recovery and prepare a capital plan for next fiscal year investment (prepare, plan and execute)
Manage projects to deadline, working collaboratively with clients and internal departments to accomplish objectives and communicate status updates effectively to all stakeholders
Responsible for scheduling, overseeing and releasing the installation (Retro Fit) or upgrading of a property’s submetering system
Communicate consistently in a clear and concise way, and adapt to client-specific needs by providing options/alternative solutions
Organizes data into report formats which can be presented to internal and external clients
Supports processes for invoicing, billing and other financial services that will ultimately drive efficiency and support our clients
Forge strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with new and existing client contacts, as well as internal stakeholders and Submeter team members
Collect any necessary due diligence from the client, including prior biller information and submeter information (typically needed for a retrofit project)
Support VP, Energy Management in becoming a resource to educate/sell existing clients about energy management products and services
Assist with special projects as requested, including custom reports and special data requests and/or explanations
Make recommendations on process improvement that will aid the department in meeting its goals and objectives
Qualifications
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Expert in Submetering systems, resident billing with an intermediate understanding of computer networking
Project management experience preferred
College Degree, or High School Diploma and relevant experience required
Experience in property management and/or utility fields preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, and written/verbal communication skills required
Strong organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail required
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment dealing with complex issues on an on-going basis required
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a group
Must be deadline driven, and goal oriented

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range
USD $85,200.00 - USD $145,200.00 /Yr.
