About the Role

We're seeking a Software Architect to lead the technical architecture and design of our next-generation autonomous security platform. You'll architect cloud-native systems that enable continuous, automated security operations, supporting our mission to make proactive offense-informs-defense capabilities accessible to organizations of all sizes.

What You'll Build As a Software Architect, you'll design and oversee the technical foundation for:

AI-Driven Security Platform: Architect deterministic, production-safe automation systems that enhance security operations with intelligent, context-aware capabilities

Enterprise Integration Layer: Design seamless integrations with identity providers, cloud platforms, security tools, and monitoring systems across the security ecosystem

Automated Response Systems: Build scalable systems that translate security insights into actionable remediation and mitigation capabilities

Real-Time Security Orchestration: Architect event-driven systems that coordinate threat detection, response, and validation workflows

Security Data Architecture: Design robust systems for ingesting, processing, and acting on security telemetry from diverse sources at enterprise scale

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture & Design

Lead architectural decisions for security platform modules spanning multiple security domains

Design cloud-native, multi-tenant architecture supporting customers from SMB through enterprise

Architect integration frameworks that embed seamlessly into existing customer security infrastructure

Define technical standards and patterns for production-safe automation in security-critical environments

Platform Engineering

Design scalable data pipelines that process security findings and orchestrate automated responses

Architect event-driven systems that coordinate security testing and defensive capabilities

Build robust API and integration layers supporting extensive security tool integrations

Design fault-tolerant systems with comprehensive audit trails and rollback capabilities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with product managers to translate platform vision into technical roadmaps

Collaborate with security engineers to design systems that leverage security intelligence

Work with domain specialists to architect security-specific capabilities

Guide engineering teams on implementation of architectural decisions

Technical Leadership

Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native design patterns and security automation best practices

Establish engineering standards for security, scalability, and reliability

Lead technical reviews and architecture decision records (ADRs)

Drive technical strategy discussions with leadership team

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in senior architecture roles

Expert-level AWS knowledge: Deep experience architecting applications in AWS environments

Cloud-Native Architecture: Proven experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, and serverless applications at scale

API & Integration Design: Strong background in RESTful APIs, webhooks, and complex third-party integrations

Data Architecture: Experience with real-time data processing, streaming architectures, and data pipeline design

Engineering Leadership

Track record of leading technical architecture for enterprise software products

Experience scaling systems from startup to enterprise-grade requirements

Strong background in designing secure, compliant systems handling sensitive data

Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices

Business Acumen

Understanding of cybersecurity markets and enterprise software requirements

Experience building products that integrate with existing enterprise toolchains

Ability to balance technical excellence with business requirements and delivery timelines

Preferred Qualifications

Security Domain Knowledge

Previous experience in cybersecurity, security tooling, or compliance software

Understanding of enterprise security operations and incident response

Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements

Technical Skills

Experience with security tool APIs and integration patterns

Background in automation platforms, workflow engines, or security orchestration

Knowledge of security tools and enterprise management systems

Experience with observability and monitoring in distributed systems

Industry Experience

Background at high-growth B2B SaaS companies

Experience building products for technical practitioners

Previous work on products with complex integration requirements

Compensation and Values

Our compensation structure is designed to be fair, competitive, and transparent, ensuring that every team member is recognized and compensated equitably across roles, levels, and locations.

Base salary range: $207,000 - 295,000 annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.

Additional compensation: This role may also be eligible for an equity package (in the form of stock options). If any other compensation benefits apply, they will be discussed during the interview process.
