Software Developer - Intern
Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber and data operations services to meet demanding challenges. They are seeking a motivated and talented Entry-Level Software Engineer to design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnostic systems for a U.S. Government customer on a critical development program.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnostic systems
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers to plan and develop electronic data processing systems
- Analyze system capabilities to determine end-user needs and resolve program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition
- Ensure compliance with hardware and software standards
- Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development and use
- Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use, as needed
- Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and software quality standards, as applicable
- Contribute to control modeling (model-based design)
Skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience
- Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of software configuration management tools and quality standards is a plus
