Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer I, you will utilize software development best practices to complete projects, work collaboratively with various teams, and contribute to the development of innovative energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Write design documents for software projects
- Develop GE/Emerson PLC software using Proficy
- Design HMIs using Wonderware InTouch and Proficy View
- Debug and test PLC and HMI software
- Integrate HMI and database interfaces
- Provide support for existing customers of WEC FHEM product line
- Plan, schedule, and perform work to meet assignment requirements within established scope, schedule, and budgetary requirements
- Read schematic diagrams and apply relevant information to the project software
- Develop and review all software test procedures
- Work with customers, vendors and other internal departments on a professional level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
- Identify areas for product/service improvements to management personnel
- Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and support implementation
- Resolve Corrective Action issues and support process improvement efforts within department and company
- Identify and help develop new business opportunities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering discipline
- 0+ years of experience
- Siemens PLC Experience
