Ferryscanner is an online search and booking engine that helps people find affordable ferry tickets to exciting destinations all over the world. Since 2018, we have been working to simplify the ferry booking process offering ferry tickets for more than 300 destinations in 25 countries. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our software development team in all aspects of the development, testing and implementation of our online systems. Responsibilities
Implement application features to improve customer experience
Improve application features to enhance performance
Troubleshoot application and code issues
Be part of a Scrum team focused on delivering business value incrementally and assessing progress
Continuously improve in technical skills and performance
Required qualifications, skills & knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
2-3 years of experience as a PHP Developer, Software Developer, or related role
Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Good understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
Hands-on experience with at least one relational database
Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
Desired Skills and Knowledge
Any experience with Python or Java is considered a plus
Hands-on experience with git or any other version control system
Familiarity with Test Driven Development
Familiarity with Linux operating system
