Software QA Tester

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Software QA Tester to join our talented, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience working in QA Testing/Support role with experience debugging, troubleshooting, and creating/executing test plans. Preference given to candidates with experience in automation and performance testing with JIRA. We offer an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
• *Only local Candidates CURRENTLY residing in the Central FL area will be considered. Must be able to work on-site at our office in St. Cloud, FL 34769**

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute automated test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts
• Develop automated test scripts in accordance with requirements
• Exercise knowledge and skill to ensure that test environments are set up accurately
• Develop automated tests using Java
• Create and update user manuals and technical documentation
• Test IT hardware, software, systems, and network
• Perform User Acceptance Testing and other software testing efforts as needed
• Test issues such as system integration, performance, and system security
• Work with Development and Operations Team to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in technology based major or related field
• 2+ years of software testing or SQA
• Proficient at creating test plans and scenarios
• Familiarity with JIRA preferred
• Experience with 508 Compliance Testing preferred
• Experience in automation and performance testing
• Must be highly motivated with exceptional communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a cross functional environment
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycles
• Some familiarity with Programming/Software Development such as Java preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization/project
• Ability to understand, communicate, and analyze requirements; Ability to identify gaps in requirements
• Solid knowledge of software testing approaches and methodologies
• MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid Driver's License
• MUST be able to pass an FBI background investigation and drug test
