Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Shape the total solution (technical and management) direction, feasibility, and competitive positioning of V2X opportunities to enable business growth and successful transition to execution
Translate customer needs into viable, compelling, and executable solution approaches that are forward-facing and that win work while strengthening long-term customer relationships
Provide a connective tissue for BD, CI, Capture, engineering, pricing, and proposal teams to deliver technically credible, operationally feasible, and customer-aligned solutions that ensure mission success across enterprise, tactical, radar, and range portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
Architect technical solutions suited for both enterprise systems and tactical deployments, leveraging advanced technologies such as AI/ML, predictive analytics, C5ISR systems, and edge computing architectures
Collaborate across all technical domains to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with defense and commercial missions
Strategic Capture Participation
Embed into all BD phases, Gate Reviews, technical solution development, operations assessments, and proposal reviews to ensure consistency and compliance
Support capture and proposal efforts by developing compliant technical approaches, creating architecture diagrams, and ensuring solution alignment with evaluation criteria
Technical Innovation Across Domains
Expertise in mission-critical technologies (C5ISR systems, AI/ML, tactical platforms, cloud computing, advanced data fusion), with working knowledge of radar and range-related data processing and integration.
Compliance & Security Responsibility
Ensure all solutions meet DoD cybersecurity standards, export control regulations (ITAR, TINA), and location-specific Offset/Industrial Cooperation standards
Support global execution strategies including Offset requirements and localization models
Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred)
10+ years of experience designing secure, responsive solutions for enterprise and tactical systems within defense, aerospace, or federal sectors
Ability to obtain DoW Secret Clearance
Experience architecting solutions in alignment with DoD frameworks (RMF, NIST, MIL-STDs, or CMMC) and acquisition lifecycles
Expertise in mission-critical technologies (C5ISR systems, AI/ML, tactical platforms, cloud computing, advanced data fusion), with working knowledge of radar and range-related data processing and integration. Demonstrated business development and capture lifecycle insights, including technical solutioning for RFIs/RFPs at various acquisition phases
Preferred Certifications & Competencies:
Certifications: TOGAF, DoDAF, Google/AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP
Prior experience with U.S. test and training ranges (e.g., Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB), Service-specific test ranges, or similar). Familiarity with radar theory, RF systems, signal processing, tracking algorithms, or test range instrumentation and control systems.

Customer Discovery & Technical Understanding
Engage early in pipeline shaping and customer-facing conversations to influence acquisition scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria
Partner with Business Development (BD), customers, and key stakeholders to identify technical needs across the spectrum of enterprise and tactical systems
Analyze evolving technical requirements for mission-critical environments (both DoD and allied defense) and match them to V2X capabilities and competitive solutions
Solution Approach & Positioning
Design and articulate integrated technical and management solutions spanning enterprise command and control, tactical systems, logistical support, AI/ML-enabled platforms, advanced data fusion architectures, and edge/computing environments
Develop win themes and discriminators connecting solution approaches to customer priorities, requirements, and care-abouts, ensuring alignment with V2X’s market positioning
Maintain competitive solution positioning through collaboration with BD, Capture, and Competitive Intelligence teams
Vendor & Partner Technical Evaluation
Evaluate critical emerging technologies, partners, subcontractors, and vendors to integrate into technical baselines for competitive solutions
Conduct technical assessments of third-party technologies for inclusion in enterprise-to-tactical systems, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and mission impact
Feasibility & Risk Gatekeeping
Serve as a gatekeeper for technical feasibility and risk throughout the proposal lifecycle, balancing innovation with operational effectiveness in achievable designs
Lead risk mitigation planning during solution maturity phases, ensuring that solutions meet cost, performance, and compliance standards during transition to execution
Solution Content for BD & Proposals
Engage early within pipeline shaping: Participate in customer discovery and pre-acquisition shaping discussions, ensuring alignment with V2X capabilities prior to RFP release, with specific focus on Radar Modernization and Range support solicitations. Lead conceptual solutioning activities: Work closely with BD and Capture teams to define preliminary technical approaches that optimize competitive positioning and feasibility
Contribute to RFIs/RFPs with innovative technical strategies, compliant solution explanations, and cost-effective approaches
Support proposal development by embedding win themes and differentiators aligned to customer requirements and operational priorities while emphasizing maturity and executable approaches
Mature Solution Architect Competency for V2X
Mentor cross-functional teams across BD, Engineering, Capture, Competitive Intelligence, and pricing functions to drive world-class solution architecture practices
Promote a forward-facing strategy that positions V2X solutions for long-term customer relationships and sustained success

The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.USD $ 165,000 -235,000
Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
