The Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer is responsible fordesign, administration and support of Microsoft 365 services. This role is responsible forresponding to Tier 2/3 support issues and escalations from the NOC. Provide day-to-day operational support, manage escalated incidents, perform tenant and service configurations.
Working as a part of a Managed Service team, this role collaborates with clients, service desk staff, NOC staff, and senior members to provide exceptional support for our managed client portfolio.
Essential Duties
React and resolve cases submitted or automatically alerted by monitoring toolsTroubleshoot advanced issues and provide solution options and recommendationsProactively provide escalation within M365 tenant environmentConduct proactive performance assessments of clients' M365 environments, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.Aid other team members in the resolution of cases within the scope of skillsetAssist with information gathering and reporting to either clients or Client Success ManagersCollaborate with senior engineers to escalate issues as neededDevelop, maintain and update technical knowledge base articlesSome client interactions will be requiredCollaborate with peers across Managed Services PracticeParticipate in an on-call rotationAfter hours / weekend work may be a requiredAll other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years of experience in IT or an MSP environment with a focus on Microsoft 365Microsoft Office 365 suite, SharePoint Online, Teams,OneDrive for Business, PreviewMicrosoft Power Platform, PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint DesignerCopilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot StudioMicrosoft 365 PowerShell scripting for administration and automationAdminister, configure, and maintain SharePoint environments, sites, lists, and workflowsIntegrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Power PlatformMonitor performance, availability, and capability requirementsImplement patches, updates, and service packsManage user access, permission, and security groupsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively with non-technical users
