HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Senior Network Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of the organization's network infrastructure. This role serves as a deep subject matter expert and technical escalation point for the network team.

The Senior Network Engineer works independently on complex initiatives, mentors junior engineers, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network solutions. This is an individual contributor role with significant technical ownership and influence.

Network solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business needs
Complex technical issues are resolved quickly and permanently
Engineering standards and practices drive consistency and operational excellence

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Network Design & Implementation
Designs, builds, and deploys complex network solutions (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, data center, cloud connectivity, security infrastructure)
Develops low-level designs aligned with architectural standards

Troubleshooting & Escalation
Serves as Tier 3 escalation point
Diagnoses complex issues across routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing
Leads root cause analysis and long-term remediation

Infrastructure Optimization
Monitors performance, capacity, and reliability
Identifies risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt
Drives proactive improvements

Standards & Documentation
Maintains architecture diagrams, runbooks, and procedures
Ensures documentation quality and usability

Project Leadership (Technical)
Leads engineering workstreams for network projects
Coordinates with PMs, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
Guides junior engineers
Conducts design reviews and shares best practices

Vendor & Technology Evaluation
Evaluates tools and platforms
Leads proof-of-concepts and provides recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Deep understanding of enterprise networking concepts and architectures
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across complex environments
Understands interdependencies across infrastructure, applications, and security
Maintains high standards for reliability, documentation, and execution
Works effectively across Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and vendors
Clearly explains technical concepts to varied audiences
Produces strong technical documentation

Education, Certification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) required
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments required
Deep expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs) required
Experience in at least two:
SD-WAN
MPLS
Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC)
Data center networking
Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Other:
Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools
Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives independently
Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments preferred
Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) preferred
Experience with automation or infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Python, Ansible) preferred
