Job Title: Staff Accountant (Mid-level)

About the Role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will support core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including workpaper preparation and support

Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts

Analyze financial data and budget variances 

Support preparation of financial statements 

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed

Partner cross-functionally to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies

Prepare and maintain  documentation in support of internal and external audit requests

Prepare and maintain general ledger, including journal entry preparation and posting

Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Education & Experience Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (public/private mix preferred)

Strong understanding of GAAP

Experience with ERP systems 

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CPA-eligible (or actively pursuing certification)

Experience in tech industry professional services environment

Exposure to financial reporting and audit processes
