Staff Accountant - Tax
Campbell Jones Cohen CPAs is a locally owned CPA firm in Las Vegas, serving closely held businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. They are seeking an Entry-Level Tax Accountant to assist with the preparation of tax returns and support tax planning projects while developing tax technical skills under experienced CPAs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns under supervision
- Assist with tax extensions, estimated tax calculations, and related compliance filings
- Organize and review client source documents for completeness and accuracy
- Perform basic tax research and assist with client questions
- Work with senior staff and managers to meet deadlines and firm quality standards
- Use firm software and workflow tools to track assignments and deliverables
- Participate in training, mentoring, and professional development activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or near completion)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting concepts
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- 0–2 years of experience in public accounting or relevant internship experience preferred
- Interest in pursuing CPA licensure (CPA exam progress a plus)
