Duration of Appointment 12/31/2026 Maximum Scheduled Weekly Hours 1 Job Description Summary The Upward Bound Tutor-Mentor (TM) will work for six weeks during the summer program, from June 1–July 17, 2026, with high school students from Hamilton High School participating in Miami University Hamilton’s Upward Bound program.

The program includes academic, cultural, and recreational activities and is based on the Miami University Hamilton campus. Tutor-Mentors support academic excellence, mentor students in their college pathways, and help foster a strong sense of community and belonging. Standard work hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with occasional extended, overnight, and/or weekend responsibilities.

Training may occur in early May. This is a temporary position, and multiple Tutor-Mentors will be hired. Limited opportunities to continue working during the 2026–27 school year may be available.
