Job Overview
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans. This will involve managing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan procurement, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans.
- Manage and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan procurement, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer needs.
- Analyze market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements to proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the reliability of the supply chain network.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in supply chain management, with a track record of successful process optimization and team leadership.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a similar industry or sector.
- Knowledge of lean principles and six sigma methodologies.
- Experience with supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP, CRM, and TMS.
- Strong project management skills and experience with project planning and execution.
