TAX ASSOCIATE / STAFF ACCOUNTANT (FLEXIBLE/SEASONAL)

Overview

"Burned out from public accounting? Flexible Seasonal CPA Role (no year-round grind)

We are seeking an experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent who is looking for:
• Part-time to full-time work during tax seasons, and
• Part-time, flexible work during the off-season

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who wants to stay engaged in public accounting without the grind of a traditional full-time year-round role.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and review individual, partnership, and S corporation tax returns
• Review bookkeeping and general ledger activity for accuracy
• Review payroll reports and filings
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and tax-saving opportunities
• Assist with client questions and technical tax matters
• Provide light advisory input where applicable

Qualifications
• CPA or EA designation required
• 5-10+ years of public accounting experience preferred
• Strong tax review skills (1040, 1065, 1041, 1120S, 1120)
• Comfortable reviewing bookkeeping and payroll work
• Experience with UltraTax CS or similar software preferred
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Values flexibility but still meets deadlines

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
