We're seeking an experienced Tax Manager with a strong background in the Construction Industry to join our growing Tax practice. This is 100% remote based in the U.S. if not living near the NJ/NYC offices.

Summary:

This individual will manage client relationships, lead complex engagements, and serve as a technical resource for construction‑focused tax matters. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage client engagements — Oversee tax compliance and consulting projects for construction clients, including contractors, developers, and specialty trade firms.

Review complex tax returns — Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings, including partnerships, S‑corps, and multi‑state entities.

Provide industry‑specific tax guidance — Advise clients on construction‑related tax matters such as percentage‑of‑completion, job costing, revenue recognition, and state nexus.

Lead and mentor staff — Supervise seniors and associates, provide coaching, and support professional development.

Support business development — Participate in proposals, client presentations, and relationship‑building initiatives.

Ensure compliance and quality — Maintain high standards of technical accuracy, documentation, and adherence to firm policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or EA license is preferred

6+ years of public accounting experience, with significant exposure to construction clients

Strong understanding of construction‑specific tax issues.

Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines

Excellent communication and client‑facing skills

Experience supervising and developing staff
