Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Technical Analyst to support our Operations and Development teams through advanced quantitative analysis and technical insights. This role focuses on leveraging mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and technical expertise to drive data-driven decision making across critical business functions including financial analysis, operational optimization, and cross-functional technical initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and mathematical acumen with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree with strong mathematical focus (Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Operations Research, or related field)

    1+ year of experience in technical analysis, financial modeling, or math-focused roles

    Experience working in fast-paced technology or startup environments

    Track record of conducting complex technical analyses and presenting findings to stakeholders

    Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with hands-on experience in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and operational optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in InsurTech, FinTech, or related industries

    Background in quantitative roles such as financial analysis, operations research, or data science

    Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB) and financial modeling tools

    Experience with financial systems, accounting principles, and quantitative risk assessment

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Quantitative Analysis

  • Lead complex financial modeling, statistical analysis, and operational optimization projects

    Develop sophisticated forecasting models using mathematical and statistical techniques

    Conduct quantitative risk assessments and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives

    Build automated financial reporting systems and operational dashboards

    Support accounting functions while providing advanced analytical insights for financial planning

    Perform cost-benefit analyses using rigorous mathematical frameworks

    Create predictive models for operational efficiency and resource optimization

Technical Project Support & Coordination

  • Provide analytical support for operational initiatives and process improvements

    Analyze complex, multi-workstream projects with technical and quantitative insights

    Support communication and coordination between development, operations, and business teams through data-driven reporting

    Conduct technical analysis of project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies

    Establish and maintain analytical standards and best practices for technical assessments

Executive Reporting & Technical Communication

  • Prepare comprehensive analytical reports, technical presentations, and strategic documents working with the existing Operations team

    Support strategic planning sessions and operational reviews with quantitative insights

    Translate complex technical and mathematical analyses into executive-level communications

Cross-Functional Technical Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering teams to provide technical analysis and translate business requirements into quantitative specifications

    Work closely with operations teams to analyze processes and identify efficiency improvements through technical assessment

    Collaborate across departments to deliver technical insights that drive business decisions

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree with strong mathematical foundation and 3+ years applying quantitative methods in technical analysis and business operations

    Advanced financial and statistical modeling expertise with proven track record in operational optimization

    Excellence in stakeholder communication, including executive-level presentation of complex analytical and technical findings

    Proficiency with statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB), advanced Excel, SQL, and analytical tools

    Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and quantitative risk management

    Proven ability to translate complex mathematical and technical concepts into actionable business insights and process improvements

    Experience working with development teams and understanding of software development lifecycle
