Mission

Walrus Foundation's mission is to advance the adoption of the Walrus decentralized storage and retrieval platform.

Vision

Empower Web3 builders by providing frictionless, decentralized storage infrastructure that’s deeply integrated into the ecosystems they rely on.
We aim to make decentralized storage a native part of every developer's toolkit — unlocking new possibilities for open, resilient applications.

About the Role

We’re looking for a contract technical content strategist to shape and communicate the Walrus narrative to a developer-first audience. This role will focus on translating Walrus’ core value proposition — verifiable data infrastructure for programmable, provable, and highly available applications — into clear, compelling, and technically rigorous content, including code samples and diagrams where relevant.

This role requires high ownership and direct collaboration across product, engineering, DevRel, and marketing teams. You’ll both define narratives and execute content. We’re looking for someone with strong opinions on how technical products should be marketed to developers.

What you’ll do

  • Translate and refine Walrus’ developer-facing narrative, with clear differentiation between Walrus and competitors

    Create and edit technical content

    Developer guides, explainers, and walkthroughs

Ecosystem and partner technical case studies

Thought leadership targeted at builders (e.g., technical threads, blog posts)

Use-case led content — ex. why developers should choose Walrus for AI projects

Own the content calendar focused on high-impact channels (primarily email, articles, landing pages, and case studies)

Support product launches with technical content and work closely with engineering and DevRel to ensure technical accuracy and relevance

Turn complex ideas (and real-world events) into compelling stories for builders

    About You

    • Strong writer who can explain technical systems clearly and credibly

Experience creating content for developers or technical audiences

Comfortable working directly with engineers and infra-level concepts

Opinionated about marketing — you have a POV on what works (and what doesn’t) for technical products

Able to operate independently and prioritize for impact

      Qualifications

      • 5-10 years in technical content, product marketing, or similar roles

Track record of writing high-quality technical content (blogs, docs, whitepapers, etc.) Please share a portfolio and ensure content is available for the team to review

Experience in web3, infrastructure, cloud, or developer tooling

Experience working directly with Developer Relations and Product Marketing team
