Full-time

Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. Together, we are changing the world’s relationship with financial services. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.

We are seeking a client-facing Product Manager to join our professional services team and lead product strategy and delivery for banking and fintech clients. In this full-time role, you will partner closely with client stakeholders and internal engineering teams to define, build, test, and launch scalable server-side capabilities and digital products. You will balance product thinking with strong program delivery, ensuring outcomes are measurable, reliable, and production-ready.

What You Will Do:

Own product outcomes for client engagements

Lead discovery to clarify business problems, user needs, and success metrics

Translate goals into a clear roadmap, release plan, and prioritized backlog

Drive tradeoff decisions across scope, timeline, risk, and technical feasibility

Partner with engineering to build scalable backend solutions

Collaborate daily with engineers to design and deliver high-performance server-side applications

Define functional and non-functional requirements including performance, resilience, security, and observability

Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to platform and architectural constraints

Program and delivery leadership

Run agile delivery rituals and maintain delivery transparency through plans, milestones, and status reporting

Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across product, engineering, design, data, QA, and client teams

Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans to keep delivery on track

Testing, quality, and automation

Define testing strategy in partnership with QA and engineering, including acceptance criteria and test plans

Champion automation where appropriate (unit, integration, regression, CI/CD validation) to improve release confidence

Support UAT planning and execution with client stakeholders and ensure readiness for launch

Client engagement and stakeholder management

Serve as a primary point of contact for product-related decisions and communication

Facilitate workshops, stakeholder reviews, demos, and roadmap discussions

Build credibility with both business and technical stakeholders and manage expectations effectively

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years technical product management experience in a client-facing role, ideally within a professional services, consulting, or banking environment

Financial services domain knowledge, such as payments, lending, cards, treasury, fraud, risk, regulatory reporting, or digital banking

Strong program/project delivery skills with demonstrated ownership of timelines, milestones, and cross-team execution

Proven ability to partner with engineers and demonstrate technical acumen, especially around backend and platform concepts: APIs and microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architecture, databases and data flows, security, performance, reliability, and observability considerations

Experience defining and supporting testing and automation practices, including acceptance criteria, UAT, and release readiness

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD practices

Familiarity with QA tooling and test automation frameworks and workflows

Background working with regulated environments and secure SDLC practices

Certifications such as CSPO/PSPO, PMP, or Agile/Scrum credentials
