We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with experience in Pulmonology to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions
  • Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs
  • Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage

Skills

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Wisconsin (100% commitment)
  • Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
