Traveling Field Service Technician II
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions. They are seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to provide on-site service, diagnose technical issues, and support customer needs while traveling extensively across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Work with cutting-edge Canon equipment and technologies
- Build strong relationships with customers through direct on-site service
- Receive ongoing training and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Travel extensively within the US to install the Canon Ink Jet Product
- Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system issues using established procedures
- Deliver high-quality, professional on-site service to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Complete Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and maintain all assigned Canon property
- Assist with escalated technical or customer service issues and guide less experienced technicians
Skills
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + 1–2 years of technical or field service experience
- Basic understanding of internet/network environments
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to complete the 20-day PDIF training
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75- 80%), including overnight stays typically lasting up to a duration of 2 weeks
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stay active for most of the workday
- Comfortable with shift work, installs will involve Overtime and weekend work
