About the Role: UHAUL Careers Remote - International Shipping Operations Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shipping Operations Representative to join our U-Box International Shipping team. As a remote team member, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless international shipments, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our logistics operations. If you're a self-starter with excellent decision-making skills and a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Tracking and Management: Monitor, track, and update U-Box shipments to international destinations in our Transportation Management System and internal systems.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with US/CAN U-Haul locations, carrier representatives, and co-workers via phone and email to resolve issues and ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Provide essential documents to U-Haul locations and carriers, document processes and procedures, and assist in creating new ones as we onboard new international destinations and shipping partners.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects to enhance our logistics operations, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer Service Experience: 1-2 years of customer service experience in a logistics or transportation-related industry.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Logistics or Transportation Experience: Experience in logistics or transportation management, preferably in an international shipping environment.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or French.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
