About the role
We’re looking for a Mid–Senior Unreal Engine Engineer to join this mission — someone who enjoys working hands-on at the intersection of real-time 3D, web interfaces, and large-scale systems.

The platform helps architects, developers, and planners visualize, analyze, and collaborate on urban environments in real time, combining spatial data with highly detailed 3D models to support smarter city planning and decision-making.

What you’ll work on
You’ll be helping shape the core of a real-time 3D streaming platform, with a strong focus on web-based experiences powered by Unreal Engine pixel streaming.

Your work will directly impact how users:

Explore interactive city-scale 3D environments

Visualise and analyse complex spatial data

Collaborate around urban planning decisions in real time

What you’ll do
Build and maintain features for a high-performance 3D streaming platform

Develop web-based interfaces and UI for Unreal Engine pixel streaming

Design and manage CI/CD workflows using Horde

Work on server-side rendering infrastructure

Improve system performance for high-load / high-scale environments

Contribute to cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Support and optimise 3D asset pipelines

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a distributed setup

What we’re looking for
This is a hands-on engineering role, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys getting into the details and building robust systems.

Core experience
Strong experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)

Hands-on work with pixel streaming architectures

Experience with Horde CI/CD

Solid understanding of web technologies and UI development

Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code

Experience with server rendering infrastructure

Proven experience working with high load / distributed systems

Understanding of 3D asset pipeline management

Nice to have
Experience building interactive 3D web applications

Background in real-time rendering, gaming, or simulation platforms

Exposure to digital twin / geospatial / visualization tools

Working setup
Contractor role -- 3 months

100% remote

Collaboration with a UK-based client (some time zones overlap expected)

Why you'll love the role?
This isn’t just another Unreal role — you’ll be working on a product that brings entire cities to life in 3D.

You’ll be part of building something that sits at the intersection of:

real-time rendering

spatial / city-scale data

and web-based user experiences
