US Picker/Packer

About the position

The Picker/Packer position is a part-time role responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders in a warehouse environment. The role involves using a voice-directed picking system to select products, verifying orders, and ensuring that items are packed securely for shipment. The Picker/Packer must maintain high accuracy and adhere to company standards while working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive coversheet and assigned cart for each series of orders and log onto the voice system to begin the picking process.

• Move the cart through product bin aisles and pick corresponding products from product bins, placing the correct product and quantity into the cart.

• Verify products during the picking and packing processes.

• Maintain daily individual production records as required by the supervisor.

• Return completed carts to the staging area and begin packing customer orders by verifying selected products against packing lists.
,
• Select appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment to ensure safe delivery of items.

• Pack all orders neatly and correctly, following proper packing procedures for fragile items.
,
• Report any errors in product selection or quality to the appropriate team member and correct orders as necessary before shipment.

• Dispose of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain a clean working environment.

• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.

• Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.

• Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
,
• Detail-oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.

• Ability to work under stress and handle multiple assignments.

• Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
