Virtual Assistant – Accounting Specialist
Job Description:
• Execute day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks with exceptional accuracy for our diverse clients.
• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections.
• Conduct routine bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and properly posted.
• Record financial data promptly and accurately across multiple accounting platforms.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare standard financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and create ad hoc reports as requested by clients or internal teams.
• Analyze financial data to provide clear updates and answer queries from clients and management.
• Serve as a reliable accounting contact for clients, communicating proactively and professionally to clarify financial information.
• Maintain pristine and organized financial records within various accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, and SAP.
• Utilize cloud-based tools to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Uphold strict compliance with relevant accounting standards and individual client policies.
• Guarantee the confidentiality and security of all sensitive financial information at all times.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data through regular reviews and validation.
Requirements:
• 2–3+ years of proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, with a strong portfolio of managing financial records.
• Hands-on proficiency with major accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero is essential.
• Experience with SAP, NetSuite, FreshBooks, or Zoho Books is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain high accuracy under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), capable of explaining financial concepts clearly to clients.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high performance in a fully remote environment, aligned with US time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
