Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Equipment Operator at DHL, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating powered equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to load, unload, move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products.
  • Safely and efficiently handling products according to procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Verifying product quantity, quality, labeling, and addresses against customer orders to ensure accurate outgoing shipments.
  • Replacing equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitoring the power supply as necessary.
  • Identifying and reporting discrepancies such as missing or damaged products (OS&D).
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and equipment.
  • Conducting daily inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
  • Supporting physical inventory processes as required.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Warehouse Equipment Operator at DHL, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably 6-12 months.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Experience with inventory management and control.
  • Certifications in forklift operation, safety, and maintenance.
