Receiving Clerk

Canton Food Company is a proven leader in the Wholesale Food Service Industry and has been in business for 56 years. We currently have an opportunity for a Receiver to join our warehouse team. Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following with proper training:

Unloading and verifying incoming shipments

· Verify quantities on Purchase Order match invoice and Bill of Lading

· Maintaining Company standards for cleanliness, organization and safety

· Must be able to work in a fast pace environment

· Ensure that all product received is in good quality and to Company standards

· Ability to follow detailed directions

· Very detail orientated paperwork

· Complete receiving document(s) as each shipment is received

Requirements:

· Warehouse receiving is a PLUS

· Follow all work & food safety rules & procedures

· Experience with Purchase Orders

· Experience with shipping and receiving functions of

incoming and outgoing product.

· Effective written and oral communication skills

· Basic math skills

· Able to read, write & effectively communicate verbally in English (bilingual a plus)

· Able to work 5-6 days per week & overtime as needed

Experience Preferred:

· Experience with Food Service Product and produce knowledge a plus

· Ability to operate a LP Forklift or Rider Pallet Jack

Wages: Negotiable base upon experience
