Job Description:

As a Virtual Home Improvement Sales Specialist, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to Wayfair’s customers, helping them navigate our wide assortment of home improvement products—from vanities and faucets to lighting and tile. You’ll assist customers via phone and live chat, providing knowledgeable recommendations and closing sales through your understanding of style, functionality, and spatial layout.

This position is more than just sales—it requires problem-solving, product education, and consistent follow-through. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally with Wayfair departments to ensure seamless post-sale support and an excellent customer experience. Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in retail or sales, preferably in home improvement

    Demonstrated ability to engage and build rapport with customers virtually

    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    High-speed internet connection and a distraction-free home workspace

    Comfort using web-based systems, CRM platforms, and eCommerce tools

    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

    Strong multitasking and organizational abilities





Responsibilities:



  • Assist customers with home improvement product selection via phone and chat

    Recommend personalized product solutions based on style, function, and space

    Close sales and meet/exceed monthly sales goals

    Partner with post-sales and logistics teams to ensure complete customer satisfaction

    Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions

    Provide post-sale support and handle returns or replacements when necessary

    Stay up to date on product knowledge, tools, and technologies
