Analyst, Sales Research & Insights
The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to join the Sales Research & Insights team. This role will focus on providing network performance metrics and actionable insights to support CTV/Digital sales efforts, collaborating with various teams to enhance revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret audience data (Nielsen, MRI, iSpot, etc.) for recurring sales reports and ad hoc requests
- Synthesize information from multiple data sets into digestible insights to be used effectively by our Sales team to drive revenue
- Develop a deep understanding of data to discern between actual performance issues and data integrity errors to ensure accurate reporting and analysis
- Proactively develop external facing materials for advertising clients (e-blasts, trade ads, etc.)
- Work with the marketing team to produce impactful ROI research analyses for brand partnerships
- Partner with the design team to position research data in a creative, concise, and compelling manner
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, Math/Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a TV research role required
- Excellent personal computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong math and data analysis skills are necessary, along with the capability of transforming large data sets from multiple sources into actionable insights
- Experience with MRI-Simmons and various Nielsen systems, including National TV Toolbox (Nielsen MRI Fusion, R&F, etc.), NNTV, Ad Intel, and Nielsen Buyer Insights
- Solid written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate and be comfortable presenting
- Strong data visualization skills needed. Also, the ability to give creative direction to the design team to create compelling sales materials
- Ability to work both independently and with a team, bringing strong organizational abilities, project management skills, and impeccable attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and must be able to handle multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced environment
- Generally, 2-5 years experience in a related field preferred
- Experience with digital measurement and CTV sales positioning a plus
- Familiarity with iSpot, Qualtrics, Cint, developing and executing primary/custom research studies a plus
