About the role
Our SAAS platform is seen as one of the best in the DAM industry and we attribute a big part of our success to the talented and hardworking engineers we have in our tech teams. We are becoming one of the fastest-growing scale-ups of the Netherlands and have big plans and the ambition to be the fastest-growing scale-up in the world. This is why we are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features that make a meaningful impact on our customers.

Backend Software Engineer
What you’ll do:
Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable backend services
Own the end-to-end development lifecycle from architecture to deployment (CI/CD)
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA, and other engineers
Contribute to architectural decisions and help define best practices
Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems
Act as an internal consultant - engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Continuously improve code quality, reliability, and performance
What you’ll bring as a Backend Software Engineer
3+ years of experience in backend software development
Proficiency in Python (or similar languages)
Strong experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Understanding of architectural patterns such as Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design
Experience working with microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments
Knowledge of secure coding practices and application-level security
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A BSc or higher in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
