Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our finance team and support our growing global operations.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end financial activities. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Record daily financial transactions and journal entries. Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy.
Classify and post financial data according to company procedures. Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Verify invoice approvals and supporting documentation.
Schedule and process payments in a timely manner. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Accounts Receivable
Generate customer invoices and track payments.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts. Apply payments accurately to customer accounts. Maintain customer billing records.
Bank and Account Reconciliations
Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Reconcile credit card statements and other financial accounts. Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations. Financial Reporting
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare financial reports and account summaries.
Support budget tracking and variance analysis. Generate reports for management review. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Maintain organized financial files and records. Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests. Support tax filing preparation and reporting requirements.
Administrative Support
Assist with payroll data verification. Maintain financial databases and accounting software. Support finance team projects and process improvements.
Collaborate with internal departments regarding financial matters.
Qualifications
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred
Experience in biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
Knowledge of multi-entity accounting. Experience with ERP systems. Payroll processing experience.
