Business Analyst
Teifi Digital is a Shopify Plus Platinum partner, excelling in resolving complex e-commerce challenges. They are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the design and implementation of unified commerce solutions for Shopify eCommerce websites, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and optimize digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Shopify Configuration: Customize Shopify themes, manage settings, and handle structured data within the platform
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with merchants and internal stakeholders to gather, define, and document business and technical requirements
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Lead exploratory and usability testing efforts; document issues using tools such as JIRA
- Systems Integration: Coordinate with developers and partners to integrate third-party platforms including ERP, CRM, and payment systems
- Backlog & Documentation Management: Maintain project backlogs, produce user stories, systems diagrams, and functional documentation
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between merchants, developers, designers, and project managers to ensure alignment and timely project delivery
- Merchant Support & Training: Develop and deliver training materials for new features and workflows
- Project Coordination: Support agile ceremonies and project planning activities (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
Skills
- Experience in the Shopify ecosystem (theme configuration & customization, data manipulation & mapping, systems integrations, etc.) or other similar platforms (Magento, BigCommerce, etc.)
- Experience with eCommerce data manipulation and working with commerce systems, ensuring effective management of product data, inventory, orders, and customer information
- Cross-functional work experience in a minimum of two of the following areas: Project management, digital agency, business consulting, omnichannel retail, data analytics, or digital marketing
- Proficiency in writing user stories and defining front-end and back-end requirements against client and system requirements
- A general knowledge of standard web languages (HTML, CSS, JS, Liquid) and their applications, with the ability to communicate complex requirements to development teams in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
- A good understanding of eCommerce best practices and the ability to integrate them into solution development
- Experience with agile working principles, including working with project teams, creating backlogs, sprint, and release plans that focus on efficiency and quality assurance
- Experience with integrating systems such as eCommerce platforms, ERP, CRM, payment providers, and more
- Experience with conducting in-depth system Quality Assurance Testing (QA), conducting user acceptance testing, and utilizing issue-tracking software such as JIRA
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to strategize rapidly and present knowledge and ideas clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- A problem-solving, analytical mindset with the ability to adapt quickly when faced with challenges
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
