Business Development Manager
About This Role
Enabled Energy is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to own, build, and grow a defined book of business through disciplined prospecting, account expansion, and multi‑threaded relationship development.
The BDM is a builder role, not a people‑management role. This position is responsible for developing and executing account strategies, expanding relationships within existing customers, uncovering new opportunities inside assigned accounts, and driving revenue growth through consistent, organized sales execution.
Success in this role requires exceptional time management, organization, and prioritization, along with the ability to run complex, long‑cycle opportunities while maintaining steady prospecting activity.
Travel Expectations
The BDM will pursue projects across the United States and Canada, with travel estimated to be up to 50% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow a defined book of business
Prospect into existing accounts to uncover new buyers, departments, and opportunities
Build multi‑threaded relationships across technical, financial, and executive stakeholders
Drive opportunity progression from early‑stage (ESP) to late‑stage (LSP)
Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline
Balance strategic pursuits with consistent day‑to‑day execution

Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (10+ years relevant experience may substitute)
7+ years experience in data center–related sales, engineering, or services
Proven success managing and growing a book of business
Experience selling complex, technical solutions (HVAC, electrical, controls, power, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to prospect within existing accounts
Active relationships with data center operators or owners
Strong experience with CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting

This is a full‑time, exempt position with a base salary and eligibility for commission or bonus.
Discretionary quarterly performance bonuses are provided for this position.
This role is eligible for remote or in-office work, based on candidate preference and business needs.
