They are seeking a driven Business Development Representative to lead outreach to startup founders and hiring managers, driving new client deals for fractional talent subscriptions.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage with startup founders and hiring managers via email, LinkedIn, and founder networks
  • Go to founder and tech events across San Francisco to meet and nurture leads, filling top of funnel
  • Close fractional workforce contracts across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Admin roles
  • Maintain CRM activity logs and manage deal follow-through from signed contract to first payment
  • Collaborate with the founders of Sam to refine messaging and optimize outreach automations

Skills

  • Previous tech-enabled startup experience required
  • Excited to enter the ground floor as a founding hire for an early stage startup
  • You enjoy the trenches and the grind it takes to generate sales
  • You know how to generate, nurture, and close deals and have a proven record of doing so time and time again
  • Proven background in B2B or SaaS sales, ideally within startups or recruiting exposure
  • Access to founder networks, early-stage startups, or venture-backed ecosystems
  • Excellent communicator, confident, articulate, and relationship-driven
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, lean environments where initiative equals impact
