Engagement Overview
Monica + Andy is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Catalog Operations Specialist Consultant to provide operational catalog support across Amazon, Walmart, and DTC, and additional marketplace channels.  

This contract engagement is focused on catalog accuracy, product launch execution, marketplace maintenance, and operational support across multiple selling platforms. The ideal consultant is process-driven, responsive, highly organized, and comfortable managing large amounts of product information in a fast-moving environment.  

This consultant will collaborate cross-functionally with US-based merchandising, operations, creative, and leadership stakeholders to support accurate, timely product launches and maintain ongoing catalog consistency across channels.

Catalog Setup & Maintenance
Create, update, and maintain product listings across Shopify/DTC, Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, and other platforms
Upload and manage product information, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, product attributes, sizing information, pricing, imagery, backend keywords, and metadata
Ensure listings remain accurate, complete, and aligned across channels
Maintain parent/child variation structures and category organization
Product Launch Support
Support setup and launch execution for new collections, seasonal drops, replenishment products, and promotional updates
Coordinate launch timing and required deliverables with internal stakeholders
Validate listings prior to launch to ensure accuracy and completeness
Monitor products post-launch for issues or operational errors
Marketplace Support
Monitor catalog health and identify listing suppressions, content errors, missing images, or operational issues
Support Amazon and Walmart troubleshooting related to item setup and product visibility
Help maintain marketplace compliance and content standards
Escalate issues quickly and communicate updates clearly
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain organized product trackers, SKU files, and catalog documentation
Audit listings regularly for accuracy and consistency
Support reporting related to launches, listing health, and catalog maintenance
Help identify process improvements and documentation opportunities for operational workflows
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with merchandising, creative, operations, and leadership stakeholders
Coordinate image uploads and asset management with creative partners
Communicate proactively regarding missing information, launch risks, or catalog issues
Attend periodic operational alignment meetings and workflow reviews as needed
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, catalog management, or marketplace support
Experience working within Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central
Experience with Walmart Marketplace preferred
Familiarity with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms
Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Clear and professional written English communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and repetitive operational tasks with high accuracy
Comfortable collaborating across time zones with US-based teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with apparel, baby, kids, or consumer products  
Familiarity with flat files and bulk uploads  
Experience troubleshooting marketplace listing issues 
Understanding of marketplace content optimization and basic SEO principles  
Experience supporting entrepreneurial or high-growth businesses

AI & Automation Proficiency
Comfortable leveraging AI tools (including ChatGPT and other automation platforms) to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and workflow management
Use AI-assisted tools to help draft product copy, organize product data, identify inconsistencies, and streamline repetitive catalog tasks
Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability around emerging technologies and process automation
Continuously identify opportunities to improve catalog workflows through AI, automation, and operational best practices
Balance AI-assisted execution with strong human judgment, quality control, and attention to detail
Contract Engagement Details
This is an independent contractor/consulting engagement and does not constitute employment with Monica + Andy. The consultant will be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, equipment, internet access, and local compliance requirements.

Engagement structure, scope, compensation, and timelines will be discussed separately and outlined in an independent contractor agreement. Consultants are expected to manage their own schedules while ensuring timely communication, deliverables, and collaboration with Monica + Andy stakeholders.
