TMX Group is a leading global exchange organization that includes the Toronto Stock Exchange and Montreal Exchange. They are seeking a Compliance Analyst to support the Datalinx Business Operations team by ensuring adherence to reporting policies and internal controls, conducting compliance reviews, and enhancing governance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the TMX Datalinx Business Operations team to strengthen compliance controls within the Datalinx Xpress & Audit Program
  • Conduct compliance True Ups with clients to verify adherence to TMX Datalinx reporting policies and contractual obligations
  • Develop and maintain discovery cases based on client feedback, ensuring potential compliance gaps or risk areas are identified early
  • Communicate policy requirements, product roadmaps, and regulatory-aligned offerings to strategic clients to support transparency and compliance readiness
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in complex datasets to detect compliance risks, inconsistencies, or anomalies in sales, pricing, operational activity, and client behavior
  • Generate actionable insights that inform compliance decisions, risk mitigation planning, and operational improvements
  • Prepare compliance reports and metrics for internal stakeholders, supporting audit readiness and internal review cycles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—technical delivery, sales, product, and operations—to enhance processes and ensure alignment with compliance best practices
  • Support the development and refinement of compliance monitoring workflows, documentation standards, and audit procedures
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives to reduce risk exposure, streamline compliance checks, and enhance end-to-end governance across Datalinx teams

Skills

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance
  • Proven quantitative analysis skills, preferably in financial products or asset classes
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to high compliance accuracy standards
  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management capabilities
  • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to evolving compliance requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for compliance tracking and reporting
  • Experience in the securities industry, including knowledge of trading workflows and how broker/dealers, buy-side firms, traders, analysts, and advisors leverage TMX products—especially in contexts requiring compliance, reporting accuracy, or audit support
