Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) is India’s largest non-profit climate tech startup support organization, and a leading convenor of the national climate innovation ecosystem  

Startup Earth Centre (SEC) is CCF’s flagship EdTech platform, designed to foster climate tech entrepreneurship across India. SEC offers open access, online, self-paced short duration courses through a modular learning format, and addresses practical skills gaps for aspiring entrepreneurs, youth innovators, researchers and investors navigating the climate tech landscape.  

About the Role: 

We are seeking a Carbon Accounting Course Developer to design and develop a Carbon Accounting Overview Course for the SEC platform. 

The course developer will create beginner level, learner-friendly content explaining carbon accounting principles, emissions measurement frameworks, reporting standards, and practical applications for aspiring entrepreneurs, startups and businesses to track and manage their GHG emissions.






Requirements



Key Responsibilities 

Course Design and Content Development  

Design engaging course content covering carbon accounting fundamentals, emissions measurement, reporting frameworks, and corporate climate disclosure practices 

Develop content grounded in frameworks such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, ISO 14064, Science-Based Targets initiatives (SBTi) guidance and India-specific requirements, including BRSR and MoEFCC guidelines  

Write scripts for video modules, and design storyboards aligned with SEC’s learning format  

Create exercises, reading materials and assessments that translate standards into practical and actionable knowledge 

Context and Case Studies 

Source and develop India-specific case studies featuring climate tech startups, SME’s and sustainability focused businesses  

Integrate practical tools and templates (e.g. emissions calculators, disclosure checklists) that learners can apply immediately to their own organizations 

Review and Iteration  

Incorporate structured feedback from the SEC team 

Curate a library of reports, tools and frameworks for learner reference  

Who Should Apply 

Required 

4-7 years of experience in carbon accounting, ESG, sustainability, climate policy, or climate consulting in India  

Working knowledge of key frameworks: GHG Protocol (Scope 1, 2, 3), ISO 14064, BRSR, CDP, TCFD and/or SBTI  

Demonstrated experience in content development, curriculum design or training 

Strong communication and writing skills 

Preferred 

Exposure to climate tech startups, sustainability consulting or ESG advisory in India  

Familiarity with self-paced or e-learning formats 

Degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, finance or a related field  

Location: Remote (India-based candidates preferred) 
Type: Part-time consultancy 
Compensation: Open for discussion 

Duration: 2 to 3 months, starting immediately
