Data Scientist to build AI-Driven 360° User Comms Engine

Sweat Foundation’s Mission is to make the world healthier and wealthier by tracking, verifying and tokenising the value of your physical activity into real financial asset - $SWEAT token. Users receive and manage their $SWEAT and other crypto tokens in the mobile non-custodial crypto wallet app - Sweat Wallet.

With more than 20M $SWEAT token holders and millions of active users in the Sweat Wallet app, Sweat Foundation created the largest onramp into web3/onchain world for crypto-curious.

Role overview:

We’re hiring the builder of our next-gen user communication engine for Sweat Wallet’s millions of users.

Your mandate: replace a patchwork of push/email/support tools with one LLM-powered platform that orchestrates inbound and outbound, picks the right channel and moment, and crafts personalized messages at scale. You’ll harness terabytes of behavioral data and operational history so every message we send is consistent, respectful, and genuinely useful - helping people become healthier and wealthier without adding noise.

If you love data, care about comms craft, and hate spam, you’ll shape the system that makes our messages read, valued, and trusted.

Current communication system is scattered across several channels:

Outbound product communications - emails and pushes - go via a combination of Moengage (classical CRM system with some advanced features with good baseline campaigns and flows) and direct from our back-end.

Ticketing support system with custom LLM agent and Zendesk email agents

In-app information LLM agent

Socials (telegram, discord, twitter) managed by human moderators

Appstore, GooglePlay, Trustpilot, etc. reviews

You will research, build, ship and run experiments optimizing these systems, potentially merging them into a single content rich engine that will engage, guide and support Sweat wallet users on their wealth and health journey.

Skills & Qualifications:

Advanced SQL and Python

Ability to write production-ready code (docker, git, airflow)

Knowledge and experience of statistical methods

Product-oriented mindset - communications should be user centric!

Strong attention to detail, ownership and proactive mindset

Excellent English-speaking skills to communicate effectively within the team

Mastery of balancing between self-management and dynamic teamwork

Experience in building with LLMs (prompting techniques and limitations, tool usage, context engineering)

What you will get:

Remote-friendly & Flexible Working Hours

Unlimited PTO

Apple devices for work

Wellbeing and learning allowances

Health insurance allowance

Office Location: Lisbon, Portugal - ideally based in Lisbon or open to relocating after the probation period.

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:
