Job Title:
Epic Implementation Project Manager (Contract, Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Epic Implementation Project Manager to lead and support large-scale Epic initiatives for a healthcare organization. This individual will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and go-live support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Epic implementations, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end Epic implementation projects, including planning, design, build, testing, training, and go-live activities
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including clinical, revenue cycle, IT, and third-party vendors
• Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, providing regular status updates and risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to Epic methodologies and organizational governance standards
• Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Oversee testing cycles (unit, integrated, UAT) and ensure readiness for go-live
• Support go-live planning and command center activities, including post-go-live optimization
• Drive workflow standardization and process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience managing Epic implementations in a healthcare setting
• Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle Epic implementation (multiple preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Epic applications (clinical, revenue cycle, or ancillary modules)
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
• Epic certification(s) in one or more modules
• Experience with multi-hospital or enterprise-wide implementations
• Familiarity with healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle processes
• Experience working in a consulting or vendor environment

Work Environment:
• 100% remote
• Contract position (duration dependent on project scope; typically 6–12+ months)
• Occasional travel may be required for key milestones (e.g., go-live)
