About the Defect Elimination Analytics Team
The Defect Elimination Analytics team at arenaflex is dedicated to creating a defect-free customer experience through the development of innovative technologies. Our mission is to rapidly identify defects, associate them with the necessary information to resolve root causes, and prioritize improvement opportunities based on business and customer needs. To further expand our defect elimination program, we're seeking a passionate and results-driven Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in partnering with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers, Data Engineers, Research Scientists, Economists, Program & Product Managers. Your primary focus will be on providing insights into customer feedback, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for our products, and assisting in feature engineering and model development. The ideal candidate will possess strong business judgment, excellent organization skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience in measuring product performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
- Collaborate with operations, business teams, economists, and machine learning (ML) teams to develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting and process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements that meet business needs.
- Develop end-to-end automation of pipelines for applications and ML models.
- Apply analytical skills to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complex data sets.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, requiring data gathering, problem-solving, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations.

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 3+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data with technologies such as Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or similar platforms.
- Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience with Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from databases or data warehouses and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience with arenaflex solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
