**Job Summary**
We're seeking an Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Remote Procurement Support to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key member of our procurement team, you'll be responsible for managing assigned requisitions, processing orders, and ensuring compliance with budget and organizational policies. **Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Remote Procurement Support, you'll be responsible for:
* Managing assigned requisitions and sourcing materials or services from existing vendors whenever possible
* Processing orders that require manual intervention, including standing orders, blanket orders, new vendor requests, and service contracts
* Reviewing purchase requisitions for compliance with budget and organizational policies
* Identifying and selecting potential vendors for services or supplies based on availability, price, and quality
* Assisting in evaluating new vendor requests and determining their suitability for approval
* Administering purchase orders from initial request through completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Utilizing automated materials management systems, including electronic data interchange (EDI) and vendor portals
* Researching products or services as needed using reference sources to ensure informed purchasing decisions
* Providing feedback and updates to stakeholders on outstanding requisitions
* Maintaining accurate documentation of sourcing decisions with attention to price, quality, and delivery timelines
* Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information related to staff, patients, and the organization
* Fostering effective communication and collaboration with management, staff, and vendors to improve department efficiency
**Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Data entry experience, preferably in a procurement or supply chain environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
* Experience with automated materials management systems, including EDI and vendor portals
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, supply chain management, or procurement
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with PeopleSoft or similar procurement systems
* Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures
* Certification in procurement or supply chain management

**Compensation and Benefits**
