Financial Analyst
Alpha IR Group is a strategic investor relations consulting firm providing investment community intelligence and positioning strategies to publicly traded companies. They are looking for a Financial Consulting Analyst to monitor market trends, draft client materials, and assist with client inquiries while delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily news and stock movements of our clients, their industry, and peers
- Perform periodic market research around key issues and topics that are impacting our publicly traded clients
- Draft and edit client materials including investor-facing news releases, financial presentations, memos, and factsheets
- Create and drive quarterly deliverables and analyses for our clients using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Perform regular analysis of client’s shareholder base and shareholder targeting strategies
- Monitor sell-side research and develop targeting strategies for additional sell-side coverage
- Help with administrative tasks including coordination of press release distribution, earnings calls, and website updates
- Assist in responding to ad hoc client and investor inquiries
- Spend 10-20% of your time on the phone communicating to portfolio managers and analysts on Wall Street as 'the eyes and ears on the Street' for our clients
- Compose client materials including memos and executive summaries for companies facing strategic decisions
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 1-3 years of applicable work experience within financial services, portfolio management, corporate finance or related consulting
- Solid foundation of corporate finance and accounting
- Outstanding critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Desire to provide top-notch client service
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Experience using Capital IQ, Ipreo, Bloomberg, and/or FactSet is considered a plus
