Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee HR-related questions and requests
  • Assist in communicating company policies and ensuring consistent application
  • Maintain and update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accuracy and completeness of employee records
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a timely, professional, and accurate manner
  • Ensure employee resources, documents, and tools are accessible and up to date
  • Perform daily HR administrative tasks to support smooth department operations
  • Support employee benefit enrollments and changes across benefit systems
  • Audit and maintain accurate benefit data and records
  • Answer employee questions related to benefits and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Assist with compensation data tracking and reporting as needed
  • Support all administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Partner with the Head of HR to support the performance review and feedback process
  • Assist with maintaining employee documentation throughout employment
  • Partner with HR leadership to ensure job descriptions are current and maintained
  • Post open positions through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Coordinate interviews and scheduling while ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Communicate candidate status updates through the ATS in a timely and professional manner

Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine interest in working with people at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the medical device, biotech, or life sciences industry
  • Experience working in a small or growing company environment
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Professional HR certification is a plus but not required
